VEHARI – Deputy Commissioner (DC) Imrana Toqueer inaugurated Flower Show and Family Festival at Divisional Public School (DPS) Vehari on Wednesday. Later, she distributed salary cheques to the sanitation workers under the Suthra Punjab Programme. The events highlighted efforts to promote public recreation and ensure employee welfare. DC Imrana Toqueer officially opened the festival and admired the vibrant flower displays. She appreciated the creative arrangements by students and emphasized that such events offer not only entertainment but also raise awareness about environmental conservation. She stated, “Flowers bring joy and freshness to life. Events like the Flower Show and Family Festival promote healthy recreation and community engagement.” The festival also featured a play area for children, food stalls, and amusement rides, offering families a delightful experience. The DC planted a commemorative tree and prayed for the nation’s prosperity. Deputy Director Public Relations Mian Naeem Asim, DPS Principal Ghulam Abbas Bukhari, and other dignitaries were also present. Following the festival, DC Imrana Toqueer distributed salary cheques to sanitation workers under the Suthra Punjab Program. She conveyed that, on the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, salaries were issued before Eid to ensure that workers could celebrate the occasion joyfully with their families.She urged employees to remain dedicated to their responsibilities, contributing to the success of the program. The workers expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and the district administration for the timely payments. Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Muzaffar Khan, Assistant Commissioner Ghazala Kanwal, District Manager of Multan Solid Waste Management Company Arsalan Hameed, and Tehsil Manager of Peace Evergreen Initiative Rao Khaleel were also present,DC Imrana Toqueer reiterated that public service remains the district administration’s top priority. She assured that comprehensive cleanliness measures would be maintained during Eid, and employees’ concerns would be promptly addressed. The district administration will continue efforts for public welfare and the promotion of healthy recreational activities.
