Netflix has released the first trailer for House of Guinness, a new drama exploring power and legacy within one of Ireland’s most influential families. The eight-part series will premiere will be led by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

The story begins with the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, architect of the brewery’s extraordinary success. His will sparks fierce disputes among his children, with rivalries and shifting loyalties threatening to destabilise the dynasty.

The trailer reveals scenes of inheritance struggles intertwined with violence, romance, and betrayal, set against the turbulent backdrop of 19th-century Ireland.

James Norton stars as Sean Rafferty, while Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, and Fionn O’Shea take on the roles of Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Benjamin Guinness. The cast also features Derva Kirwan, Jack Gleeson, and Niamh McCormack, strengthening the ensemble behind the brewing family saga.

Produced by Kudos, House of Guinness carries Knight’s signature approach of blending historical settings with themes that echo contemporary concerns. It follows his recent work on A Thousand Blows for Disney+, while continuing his collaboration with global streaming platforms.

House of Guinness premieres globally on Netflix on September 25.
