JoJo Siwa has given fans a hopeful update just days after revealing she suffered a ruptured ovarian cyst.
Taking to Instagram, the 21-year-old star thanked supporters for their “well wishes and prayers,” noting she had had “an eventful weekend” following the painful medical emergency.
According to the Mayo Clinic, ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that can form on or inside an ovary, and when they rupture, they may cause “serious symptoms.”
“I’m happy to say I’m doing a bit better,” Siwa wrote.
“I’m not in the clear yet, but feeling better and doing well!”
She added that she developed a fever the night after her hospital visit, but “slept and woke up fever free and have been since!”
The Dance Moms alum shared that she’s “resting when I can” and “drinking lots of electrolytes,” adding that the “beautiful circle of love and support” around her has helped her heal.
